Estevan athletes attend tourney

Members of the Estevan GTF Taekwon-Do Academy recently attended a competition in Regina.

Members of the Estevan GTF Taekwon-Do Academy attended the Saskatchewan GTF Invitational Championships November 8 in Regina.

The local group took part in both the sparring and patterns at the competition.

Winning medals were Brandyn Schilligs who claimed a gold and silver.

Tyler Holowchuk won two silvers while Vaughn Robinson won a gold and silver medal.

Katja Krupka won gold and bronze medals, Nikki Bilkhu won gold and silver and Nathan Haukeness won two silvers.

Assistant instructor Gurjeet Bilkhu won a gold medal while the club's head instructor Daniel Muniz won gold and Bronze medals.

A total of 200 competitors attended the championships.
