Muniz wins Teakwon-Do medals

Daniel Muniz, far right, of Estevan won two medals at the recent Western Canadian Taekwon-Do Championships in Calgary.

Valentine's Day turned out to be a day to remember for Estevan resident Daniel Muniz.

The head instructor at the Estevan GTF Taekwon-Do Academy, Muniz won a pair of medals at the Western Taekwon-Do Championships February 14 in Calgary.

Muniz Captured a silver in the patterns event and added a gold medal in the sparring competition.

More than 45 GTF members from Saskatchewan attended the event and combined to win 60 medals.
